Predominantly based in Gleneagles Medical Centre, Dr Kelvin Chua specializes in Heart Rhythm Disorders with key interests in identifying markers of sudden cardiac death, managing inheritable heart rhythm disorders, performing minimally-invasive procedures to eradicate abnormal rhythms – catheter ablation, using novel pacing and ablation strategies including conduction system pacing, leadless pacing, ultra-high-density mapping, cryoablation, and pulsed-field ablation.
Dr Chua pursued his subspeciality clinical fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, United States, from 2015-2016 and University of Chicago, United States, from 2016-2017 where he acquired expertise in the management of complex heart rhythm disorders through catheter ablations and cardiac implantable electronic devices. He also received his accreditation from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) as a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist – Adult Cardiology (CEPS-AC) in 2016.
